Viva Las Vegas!

Evan found an internship, and guess where it is...

Yep that's right. We're heading to sin city and things have been changing pretty quickly around here.

Thursday: Evan got the offer to work for SouthWest Gas in Las Vegas, NV.

Friday: We accepted the internship and sold our apartment contract.

Saturday: We sold our furniture, cleaned out our apartment and hit the road!

Saturday-Sunday-Monday: We spent the weekend with my super cool family in Northern Utah.

Monday: We drove to St. George, UT where we spent the night with my sisters in-laws.

Tuesday: We drove to North Las Vegas and started shopping for apartments.

Tuesday @ 3:00: We signed a lease and started moving in!

We are excited! Our complex has a super nice pool and fitness center! Observe:

Our apartment complex is new, and it's in a great location. South of us is EVERYTHING, and North of us is NOTHING. I prefer the nothingness to the everything-ness, but having the option is good. And it's a huge bonus that we're right by the highway that takes Evan straight to work in less than ten minutes!

In other news...

Yesterday was our anniversary! One year of bliss! ;) We ate at Olive Garden on Saturday night to celebrate :)

Evan officially started work today. He works 7-3:30, Monday thru Friday. Which is pretty much the perfect schedule. I can't complain about that!

Wish us luck!

Been a while...

I know it's been a while, but believe me, our life has not been very noteworthy as of late. I'll try and cover a few main points to get you back up to speed.

September 6 through December 15 (Fall Semester) was, without rival, the hardest thing I've ever had to endure. But despite my frequent mental/emotional breakdowns, I knew that there was a light at the end of the tunnel....

DECEMBER 16!!! *Cue angelic chorus*

Not only was December 16 the last day of the semester from Hades, it was also the day that my best friend/sister Jenny Webre returned from serving an LDS mission in the Philippines.

^ This was the last piece of an originally 6-month long paper chain.Needless to say, I was one ecstatic girl.

We spent Christmas break at my parents home in Brigham City, UT. Everyone came home and we had a BLAST! We also had some family photos taken.

Winter semester was 10X more bearable than the Fall, though I signed up for 6 extra hours of class. It flew by without a care or worry and NO all-nighters. That's right --NONE! I found that the trick was dropping out of graphic design. Who knew life could be so good? We ACTUALLY had time for friends and fun.

In February, Evan went to Florida to compete in the National Association of Home Builders competition, as part of the team representing BYU-Idaho. He worked so hard and did a great job :) They didn't place this year, but we're looking forward to kicking butt and taking names next year.

In March, I joined my Mom, Grandma and Aunt Julie on a trip to St. George to visit Jenny (who was staying in the Mariott hotel while training for a nursing job). It was a lovely girls retreat.

More recently, we spent the weekend in Pocatello with our friends, Matt and April.

We stayed the night in a hotel room and next morning headed to Lava Hot Springs where we found a natural hot spring in the freezing cold river!

What else can you do (for free) in Lava? Well....

So NOW, we're out of school for the next five months, and searching for another internship for Evan. I don't know what the future will bring, but I have a suspicion that it will bring something WONDERFUL :) Stay tuned.
